November 21st: everybody together for the European project

ALL THE UNIONS AND STAFF ASSOCIATIONS OF THE EUROPEAN INSTITUTIONS, acting in unison, have called all staff, throughout all sites, to mobilise strongly in the defence of the European project.

In the European Commission, the unions and staff associations:
- have presented together a pre-announcement for a strike, in the afternoon of Nov 21st (eve of the European Council);
- call upon all staff to participate in the unified gathering organised for the same day.

The Council presidency has proposed a reduction of the European budget that would jeopardise growth, which growth is necessary to get out of the crisis. This reduction would lead to severe cuts in the European civil service, which is crucial for the European project.

The Council has just worsened the budget proposal presented by the Commission, axing €80 billion for the period 2014-2020.

The moment has come to mobilise ourselves for the sake of the European project.

Let’s express our determination all together
