Following the AGM on June 22, all unions invite you to participate in the
Inter-institutional General Assembly
June 29 from 8:30 am onwards,

In particular, the staff unions reiterate their request that, at the Commission’s meeting of June 29th, the college
- Does not adopt a position which seeks a modification of the staff regulations;
- Does not adopt a proposal, in the context of the new multiannual financial framework, in which administrative expenditure, covered by chapter V, would be insufficient and would require that the staff regulations are modified de facto
All staff unions from all institutions are united behind this request.
All of them have urged President Barroso to meet with them urgently, in the spirit of openness, to discuss the proposals of the College and to receive a guarantee that sufficient finance will be provided to maintain the purchasing power of all colleagues, active or retired, and to ensure that the attractiveness of the European public service is maintained.
All of the staff unions call for the mobilization of all personnel and of all institutions and reiterate their demand that the Commission does not propose a revision of the staff regulations to the Council.
It is possible to make improvements and savings without revising the staff regulations.
